Registration is now open for the February membership meeting.  We have the pleasure of hosting Larry Litchfield, P.E. with Aon Risk Solutions, who has almost 45 years of code consulting experience and has served on several code development committees for ICC, NFPA, ASTM, UL, and ICBO.  Mr. Litchfield will be presenting on the IBC requirements for fire rated assemblies and how these requirement effect the structural design and detailing of a building project.

Larry's Bio

Larry Litchfield has been a code official and a code consultant for almost 45 years. He has been the Building Official for the City and County of San Francisco and for the City of Phoenix. He has been a member of several code development committees for ICC, NFPA, ASTM, UL, and ICBO. He was a member of the UL Fire Counsel for 15 years where he was able to observe a number of fire tests on fire rated assemblies. He has also served as a lecturer on various topics dealing with code enforcement for Arizona and California Building Officials and at the University of Wisconsin, Arizona State University, and Lorman Educational Services. Mr. Litchfield retired from the City of Phoenix in 2006 but continues to serve on the Development Advisory Board (DAB) for the City of Phoenix and is currently the past Chair of the DAB. Mr. Litchfield currently works as a code consultant for L3 Code Consultants and as a contract consultant for Aon Fire Protection Engineering Corporation (Aon FPE), formerly Schirmer Engineering. He is a member of ICC, NFPA, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Arizona, California, and Wisconsin. Larry holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin
