Simpson Strong Tie Product and Software Update

Simpson has a long history of working closely with the engineering community in developing and providing products that fill your needs. Simpson enjoys the opportunity to update engineers on what's changed and what's new with the products they offer. The presentation will cover connections for various types of construction, focusing in particular on lateral connections and systems such as the Strong-Wall Shearwall and the Strong-Frame Moment Frame. We will also cover changes to software such as the Anchor Designer for anchorage to concrete.

Biographical Sketch of Jorge Ruiz

Jorge grew up in the construction industry and began his "hands-on" construction education working for his father, a masonry contractor. Jorge has been involved with the construction industry for over 30 years and has been with Simpson Strong Tie for the last 23 years. Since 1999 he has handled the Arizona market. As part of his duties he provides information and education on products to contractors, engineers, and building officials. Jorge is based in Phoenix and covers the Central and Southern part of the state.
